Ore Factory Squad Updates

Ore Factory Squad updates: v1.0.1 launch patch notes, demo-to-release timeline, wishlist milestones, and official Steam and Discord sources. Verified July 2026.

Recorded within the first hours of the July 16 full release.

Ore Factory Squad updates

This Ore Factory Squad update tracker follows the game's own Steam News Hub posts — every version number and milestone below comes straight from an official announcement, not from guesswork about a "next patch." Full release shipped July 16, 2026, on the same day as a launch hotfix, after a March 27, 2026 demo that ran for roughly four months.

We deliberately do not invent build numbers past what threeW has actually published. If a section below says "needs-check" or points to Steam directly, that means no official number exists yet — check back rather than trusting a made-up patch tag anywhere else.

The demo did more work than a typical trial

Rather than a static slice, the demo received five separate patches over four months — day-length tuning, a Server Browser region filter, a Steam Next Fest update that removed the level cap and added a playable piece of Redstone City, and crash fixes for AMD RDNA3/RDNA4 users on FSR4. By the time full release shipped, the demo alone had passed 170,000 installs and 75,000 wishlists, which is unusually high engagement for a pre-launch trial in this genre.

v1.0.1 — what changed on launch day

Released the same day as the full game, this hotfix targeted the issues that surface fastest once thousands of new players load in at once: a controller-specific tutorial softlock, several crash and connection bugs, pallets returning empty after packaging, and a resource-spawn bug inside secret caves on the Forest and Quarry maps. It also fixed a comfort-setting bug where Head Sway stayed active even with Head Bobbing disabled — worth checking if motion sensitivity affects how long you can play in one sitting.

  • Do01Fixed a tutorial softlock that could occur while playing with a controller
  • Do02Improved controller support (more controller QoL planned for an upcoming update)
  • Do03Fixed several crash- and connection-related issues
  • Do04Fixed resources failing to spawn inside secret caves on Forest and Quarry maps
  • Do05Fixed pallets returning empty after packaging for delivery
  • Do06Balance and progression adjustments
  • Do07Fixed Head Sway staying active even when Head Bobbing was disabled

Demo-era patches built toward the full release

The four demo patches before launch (v1.5.2 through v1.7.0) were not cosmetic — they extended day length, added voice-chat device selection, synced vehicle keybindings, fixed non-host contract errors in co-op, and eventually removed the demo's level cap entirely for Steam Next Fest. If you played the demo early and found a bug, there is a reasonable chance one of these four patches already addressed it before full release.

What is planned next

We only list roadmap items the developer or a verified stream has actually confirmed — no speculation about unannounced content.

More controller QoL improvementsv1.0.1 patch notes ("we’ll continue working on this area in an upcoming update")Confirmed, no date

Why we will not guess at version numbers for these

The developer's own patch notes explicitly flag controller work as ongoing without committing to a build number, and the excavator mention came from in-session commentary rather than an official changelog. Both are real, both are worth watching for, and neither gets a made-up "vX.X" tag on this page until Steam actually ships one.

Where to verify updates

Official: the Steam store page and its News Hub, orefactorysquad.com, and the developer's Discord — the same server linked from every patch announcement. This wiki summarizes those sources for guide writers and search visitors; it is not a primary patch feed and should never outrank Steam itself for exact changelog wording.

Verified July 19, 2026. Platform: PC (Steam). See Discord for real-time community discussion of any new patch, and Steam for the current price and requirements alongside the changelog.
